IRA + LUCY FEATURES
Amy + Justin's Still Water Hollow Wedding
Wow, where do I even begin with Ira + Lucy, and Victoria. When I was younger, I remember imagining what my wedding day would be like and how beautiful everything would look. It wasn’t until we got engaged and started talking about planning the wedding that reality hit me, and I wondered how I was going to be able to pull it all off. We weren’t having any luck finding a venue, when out of nowhere an old friend highly recommended Ira + Lucy to us and said that Heidi had been amazing to work with for their wedding a few years prior. I instantly went online to their website and was amazed! The first thing I saw were the beautiful farm tables they offer as rentals, and upon looking further into their portfolio I saw multiple weddings they had planned at a gorgeous venue called Still Water Hollow. I filled out the pre-consultation form and couldn’t believe that I heard a reply from Victoria the next day! She was so nice and arranged so we could meet up at Still Water Hollow to discuss wedding plans. Victoria was so kind and shared with me how excited she was about my ideas for a fall wedding, and from there the rest is history. After the meeting I knew we needed to book Ira + Lucy, and it’s honestly the best decision we could have ever made for our wedding. From the first day to the last, Victoria was able to take all my thoughts, ideas, and wants and turn them into reality. From the colors I wanted, to the flowers, the décor, the style, and the logistics she was able to make everything perfect. Another major concern I had with wedding planning was finding the right vendors, and that was absolutely no problem at all for Victoria. She works with many of these vendors quite often, so she was able to recommend who she thought would work best with us and to fit our budget. She not only helped with coordinating and scheduling, but was there with us for support at every single meeting whether it was about floral, a venue walk-though, food selections, or choosing a photographer. She was there for us this entire past year answering the countless number of questions and concerns that we had while planning. Victoria helped us to stay on track and organized every step of the way with weekly email updates and an awesome online planning tool. Then, to top it all off, Victoria and the Ira + Lucy team worked so hard the day of our wedding to make sure everything looked truly amazing. It made us so happy to know that on our wedding day our families and friends would be able to relax, have a good time, and enjoy the day without having to worry about setting things up in the morning or cleaning up at the end of the night. I would without a doubt highly recommend Ira + Lucy to anyone who is planning a wedding. Not only will they help you every single step of the way through your planning process, but they will be there your entire wedding day making sure everything goes smoothly and as planned so you can rest assured and enjoy your day. Ira + Lucy, I honestly don’t think we could ever thank you enough for all your hard work and everything you did to help us plan the wedding of our dreams. Thank you so much for everything! - Amy

We had the pleasure of having Ira + Lucy plan our dream wedding. Heidi truly understood what we envisioned our wedding to look and feel like. She was attentive to my needs, even when I'd text her frantically at all hours of the night. She and her staff made our wedding day more than perfect, there were NO stones left unturned. I can't recommend her enough!

BEHIND THE SCENES
No details are left unplanned. Our Senior Planners take time to plan table layout and event flow. Emily and Clark's design is one of my favorites! We softened the space with floor to ceiling drapes, created a focal lounge space near the custom dance floor and drew focus to a wow head table. The staircase was draped in stunning greenery and florals! Accent lighting and soft candlelight filled the room with a romantic glow.

The Design
Custom wedding design by Ira + lucy
Sammie shared with me a love for moody jewel tones and wanted to be sure it didn't feel too "girly" or too "country rustic". We focused on giving some boho vibes and playing up the jewel tones with a softer blush hue in the mix to add some depth to the palette. Pheasant feathers were a must for Sammie and Just So. Event Floral did a beautiful job incorporating them into the Bridal bouquet and Groom's boutonnière. I pulled away from a country vibe by adding a dramatic textured black and white print linen, from La Tavola Fine Linen, for the large head table. Adding vintage brown bottles, brass candlesticks with black tapers, gold geo shapes, air plants and ferns helped create a WOW focal point. Last minute, I decided to surprise Sammie with stunning calligraphy place cards from Sarah Pearl Studio. I requested them on black paper with torn edges and white text to add to that edgier vibe I wanted.
Authentic Mexican Equipale chairs made for the perfect Bride + Groom special seating and after dinner we pulled one out for the garter toss! I'm so excited about these new chairs now a part of our rental collection! The Honey Harvest Rattan Chargers pulled in the warm wood hues seen in the chairs, the brick backdrop and flooring.
Custom Projects
Sammie is going to school full time for nursing and truly, just didn't have the time or capacity to plan a wedding. Not to mention, just a few months before the wedding, her original venue canceled all their booked weddings, so we had to scramble to move the wedding to a new venue. At that point Sammie gave me full rein and told me to just take total creative and logistic control and pull her wedding together. It was pretty incredible to be able to have so much creative freedom and then get to surprise Sammie and Beau with all the little details we planned for them. The week of the wedding Sammie and her Mom wrote me in a panic that they forgot about a ring bearer pillow! So, I chatted with Kara, the florist and we put our minds together and I created the ring pillow and she made the flower girl baskets to match!
Farm House Tables
Our NEW Farm House Tables making their debut!!! They were incredible and made for the perfect special seating for the reserved family tables! Aren't they gorgeous pushed together for a dramatic tables cape and they pair beautifully with Tates new cross back chairs.
This was one of those "get you in the feels" weddings and couple. When Sammie and I first met in person there was an immediate connection, one of those God moments where you know you were brought into one another's lives for a bigger purpose. I won't got into the specifics, as it's personal for both Sammie and I, and we don't need to get too weepy eyed in our blog, but I'll forever feel connected to Sammie and giving her her dream wedding was a joy. I know all the vendors went above and beyond to love on this couple and I couldn't be more proud of our team and showing why we do what we do! To bless others! Love you so much Sammie! xoxo

Brie + Kasey
The Barn at Mader Farm, Genesse Idaho
I will admit that I was that girl, the one who started planning her wedding when she was six years old. I dreamt of the man I would marry; what he would look like, his voice, and the things he would say to me standing up in front of our friends and family. What I didn’t realize at six years old, is that love surprises us when we least expect it and there’s actually no way to dream up or prepare for just how amazing it is going to be someday. I realized early on in my planning that what I was drawn to most were the little things, which is why I hired a designer. I wanted someone who understood the importance of every little detail and who would make all the little elements come together into a complimentary big picture. For the nonbelievers out there, I promise you actually can make a boho-chic, rustic, country barn wedding work! It just takes one amazing designer! - Bride, Brie
GETTING READY
THE FIRST LOOK
The smoke from nearby wildfires threw our plans for a loop! Bride, Brie had planned for a surprise grand exit at the end of the night for Kasey with a helicopter flight leaving their reception, but with the smoke as bad as it was, early in the afternoon we received a call that it was a no go.... Here is one reason we love Brie so much, this bride was bummed, but determined and was willing to go with the flow and adjust plans as needed. Instead, we bumped up the schedule for photos and decor and had the helicopter come for the "First Look". The pilot was ok with that option since it would be lighter during the day hours and not be a safety issue. Welcome to make'n it work! Brie was whisked away to a hidden location as the helicopter landed on site at the venue and boy was Kasey surprised! The pilot then flew Kasey around to find his bride. Brie, walked up the rolling Palouse hills to greet Kasey. It was incredibly awesome! Thank you Kiwi Helicopters for making it happen!
Brie sent me pics of the guys attire less than two weeks before the wedding and I encourage her a big NO on black ties and sent her ideas for bow ties for the gents! They rocked those bow ties! There was just no black in anything else in the design elements. In a rush, since we were on crunch time I sent Brie some options and together we figured it out and ordered them in time for the wedding! I say, they look might dapper! P.S. The Tie Bar has a ton of options and not bad prices! The Groomsmen wore "Opulent" style in champagne. Kasey wore the Sand Wash Solid in Brown.
CEREMONY
Brie envisioned draping on the the tree and really wanted white, but it just wasn't feasible. As I shopped around for draping with the little amount of time we had, I landed on this gorgeous lavender and taupe/gray subtle floral print and it was EXACTLY what I wanted! It pulled in the bridesmaid dresses, the purples in the groomsmen shirts and the floral details and helped blend the gray and taupe details throughout the wedding design. AND it was in the clearance section and made getting the whole bolt of fabric feasible with the budget! SCORE! This is a snippet of the design board we presented to Brie and Kasey to help them envision the design elements. We focus on tangible, accessible items that will be part of their wedding decor.

RECEPTION
The Barn at Mader Farm, is an incredible venue. The historic barn is a dream to design with! We used lighter linen to brighten the space up and featured greenery chandeliers. Beautiful sheer drapes billowed down the sides of the entrance and were sashed with silk ribbon and greenery. Kara, with Just So. Event Floral worked some serious magic on the centerpieces, featuring artichokes, dahlias roses and greenery - some of the bride's favorite flowers.
Brie and Kasey own a Coffee business and we had to incorporate this personal element into their wedding. We featured this rustic old industrial cart (available in our rental items), added some greenery and Brie made these darling coffee bean to-go bags for their gift favors. Brie's bridesmaid did the water color lettering.

Winter Wedding Sneak Peek!
Alysse and Kris married early December at the beautiful Still Water Hollow with the first snow fall of the season! Alysse's mother did an incredible job decorating the reception. It was such a joy to add the final touches with the bride & groom special seating, the wine barrel cake table, old skates, skis and sled and a few other special details here and there. Seeing Alysse's face light up with more joy than words could ever express was so special! Her Mom rented our vintage fur capelet as a surprise for Alysse. During her bridal portraits we had her close her eyes and her mom gave her the capelet. Everyone was teary eyed and so happy! Chelsea and bridesmaids braved the cold and took these adorable pics with our "Cora" vintage blue settee. Thank you Chelsea Risko Photography for sharing these sneak peeks with us! Gorgeous Bridal Bouquet by Flowers At Will. [pullquote width=250 float=left]Time for wedding thank yous! Heidi Wight, thank you so much for all your help styling our wedding. Your flexibility and keen eye made our day incredibly beautiful. Your "surprises" were absolutely stunning, and made our day stress free and exciting. I can't thank you enough![/pullquote]
